By using the website nahueltrek.cl, submitting the contact form or booking a trip with Nahueltrek, the user accepts these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site or hire our services.
Nahueltrek organizes and guides trekking trips and mountain activities between the Biobío and La Araucanía regions of Chile, with certified local guides. It also sells gear, merchandise and first-aid kits through its Shop section.
Bookings are made with the booking form for each trip on this site, or by arranging them via email or WhatsApp. When booking, the participant receives an email with a summary of the booking and a link to complete the details of each person in the group (ID, emergency contact and health), which are required to take part.
The spot is secured once the deposit described in section 4 is received. The deposit can be paid online with the link sent by email, or by bank transfer arranged with Nahueltrek. Nahueltrek provides the meeting point and time and any final trip details by email or WhatsApp.
If no payment has been received within 72 hours of booking, and after an email reminder, the booking may be released so someone else can take the spot. Anyone who paid by bank transfer and does not yet appear as paid can reply to the notice so we can check it.
Deposit and balance. To secure the spot, a deposit of 50% of the total booking price is paid. The remaining 50% must be paid before the trip starts.
Cancellation by the participant:
Cancellations must be notified by email or WhatsApp; the deadline is counted from the date and time Nahueltrek receives the notice.
Suspension by Nahueltrek. Nahueltrek may suspend or modify a trip due to weather, safety, access closures or not reaching the minimum number of participants. In that case, the participant chooses between moving the booking to another available date or receiving a 100% refund of the amount paid.
Refunds are made by bank transfer to the account indicated by the participant.
Gift cards. Gift cards can be used on any trip with available spots, as full or partial payment, for 12 months from purchase. If the booking costs less than the gift card, the remaining balance stays available for another booking within the same period. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash. If a booking paid with a gift card is cancelled, the corresponding amount is returned as gift card balance according to the cancellation policy in this section.
Trekking and mountain activities take place on natural, uneven terrain and in weather conditions that can change without notice. Participants declare that they are aware of these risks and take responsibility for assessing their own physical condition and health before booking, following the instructions of the guide in charge at all times.
Nahueltrek may suspend, change the itinerary of or reschedule a trip due to adverse weather, closure of parks or trails by the authorities (for example, CONAF), or other force majeure events, always prioritizing the participants' safety.
Photos and videos may be taken during trips to be shared on Nahueltrek's website and social media (Instagram, Facebook). Participants who do not want their image to be used can tell the guide before the activity starts.
The data entered in our forms (name, email and any other information provided) are used only to manage the corresponding enquiry or booking, and are not shared with third parties unless necessary to provide the service hired.
The content of nahueltrek.cl (texts, photos, design) belongs to Nahueltrek or is used with due authorization, and may not be reproduced without prior permission.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts.
